1. What worries me most is
the people we have who are "fixing" things, and that the rest of the world expects them to know what they are doing...

Look out below.

4. We are already in an inflationary recession that is actually deepening.
For the poor and for those who are entirely insolvent, like me, it just means more of the same kind of misery we've been seeing.

5. Looks like we're right on track for a Star Trek future.
The global economy collapses, a war breaks out that escalates into global nuclear conflict, civilization ends, and then someone invents the Warp Drive and the Vulcans come and save us.

That's what I'm pinning my hopes on, anyway.

7. I figure this is boosh's last chance to rob us blind. Anyone who
thinks this was done 'for the good of the country' needs to do some serious rethinking.

8. I need an option for 'total collapse but I'm not that scared'
I figure I'll get through it OK on a personal level, though more because I'm used to poverty than because I have any big money to tide me over.

12. If the crisis deepens and shrubbie declares martial law I wonder if he'd install Palin?
She'd make a perfect "Hitler Puppet" for Zheney.

14. Many choices not represented. Mine, for example...
Yes, the bottom is falling out and we are headed for a global Great Depression to rival 1929, but NO, I'm not at all worried or fearful about that. It is what it is. Cool-headed preparation is better than blind panic any day.

18. Other. I have to be honest, I've been waiting for and expecting this since Bush was sElected.
The one up-side of all the misery is going to be seeing these weasels and their mumbo-jumbo economic theories debunked for a couple of generations. So I'm scared, nobody knows how bad this gets, its out of control, and all the big-shots are looking out for their own asses, but I'm also optimistic that we can finally get these parasites off our backs.

What does labor want? We want more schoolrooms and less jails; more books and less arsenals; more learning and less vice; more leisure and less greed; more justice and less revenge; in fact more of the opportunities to cultivate our better natures, to make manhood more noble, womanhood more beautiful, and childhood more happy and bright." -- Samuel Gompers, 1893

19.  we need more panic to really get the ball rolling to total meltdown!
we need to fear the next minute because it could be the last time we have a penny left to our names.

i`m so glad my parents had a real president to see them through there fear....otherwise i would`t be here to witness the worse president in the history of our new country...

20. Last world (or at least widespread) depression led to the rise of fascism
the complete conversion of communism into despotic totalitarian state capitalism and world war, plus all the unmeasurable human economic suffering.

our species, for all it's "dominance" of the planet, is pretty poor at managing itself.

21. Other: I believe we are headed for a worldwide depression
But I believe that this has been coming for a long time. I am hopeful that America and the World may reject some of the worst and most extreme aspects of capitalism.
