that one? - that was a slur - they can call it what they want -
I remember when Ross Perot said "You People" the press went crazy but Ross did not have a tone, he really wanted to know and yes he was out of touch and used the wrong words but it was not meant MEAN as John's was MEAN - THAT ONE - I am amazed at how cool Obama continues to stay no matter what which is a good sign of a great negotiator and I sure would want him negotiating for me with the rest of the countries and congress with such a level head with such outrageous people -

Both Obama and his wife are willing to meet people where they are - that takes a real talent - they do not take offense at the ignorance of others and instead just level head address the issues

1. McPain Is A Weird Little Man
I couldn't figure out why he was walking around behind Obama all the time while he (Barack) was talking either - how rude! Obama is very calm, cool, and collected - he will make a great President!!! Once the election is over, John can go retire somewhere - he is a grumpy old man!!!

2. I also took it as having a racial overtone.....
that one....as in a thing

He would not call him by name, even by the title senator, or even "my opponent".....it was just "that one".....

McCain is creepy and angry.

I am really amazed at how poorly he is coming off. Not exactly a poised politician, this maverick McCain.....

3. it reminded me of something-
this might be totally uncalled for,

but those words rang a bell with me,i very vaguely recalled sometime way back reading about an amazingly racist rhyme by a very famous author(turns out it was in and was was used as the title of a book by Agatha Christie in 1939),i had to google to remember it,i don't suppose mccain could have in any way ...?

"Ten Little -------

Ten little ------ boys went out to dine;

One choked his little self and then there were Nine...

...

One ...

...

One ...

...

One ...
...
...

...
One ...

...
...

...
...
...

One got frizzled up and then there was One.

One little ----- boy left all alone;

He went out and hanged himself and then there were None.

This is included not from racism, but because of Agathe Christie's detective story of the same name, and this rhyme not being in print anywhere, a lot of people in Austria have asked me about it. If you are offended about the text please accept my apologies."

4. It Was Mean, Condescending And Rude. But Calling It Racist Is Just Flat Out Ridiculous.
No. It wasn't a racial overtone at all. It was just a grumpy old man trying to belittle his opponent, regardless of that opponent's skin color. Throwing racism into the mix within the context of that comment is just a huge stretch.

5. How was he ever able to reach across the aisle...
assuming it's true, and as he likes to claim ad nauseum? How did he ever get anybody to work with him? He seems like a creepy old jerky asshole.
