No way it is a coincidence that this happened at two rallies thousands of miles apart .... and that the Secret Service that was present didn't jump their asses.

Just no way this is other than a planned strategy.

No

Fucking

Way.

2. And why aren't the SS (!) investigating those statements?
If someone so much as WHISPERS or E-MAILS that they'd like to
see harm come to RatBastard, they get investigated. I'd
certainly hope that the Secret Service would be checking into
those people ...

The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers.

Wiley says the Secret Service did not begin looking into the matter until press reports, namely Dana Milbank's article in the Washington Post, surfaced today, because no agents at the event heard anything. "The Secret Service did not hear any threatening statements directed at targets under its protection and no threatening statements were reported to us by law enforcement or citizens at the event," Wiley told Radar. Also unclear: whether the remark was directed at Obama or Ayers if the words were actually "kill" and "him."

Wiley said that the Secret Service had tried to get in touch with Milbank to get his account of the event but was unsuccessful. Were the they able to confirm the remark they'd "be looking to talk to that person," Wiley said. "We investigate everything because we take all threats seriously."

Yeah .... that Nazi sheriff (Barack Hussein Obama) doing the Palin warm-up act wouldn't have reported it, that's for sure.

5. What two rallies was the same thing said?
From what I understand, it was at the Palin rally in Florida where "Kill him" was supposedly yelled.

The "kill him" remark was written about in a Dana Milbank article, but I haven't seen any video footage of it.

Believe me, I've been watching this story all day and have yet to see any video evidence of the remark being shouted. When the Secret Service tried to contact Dana Milbank, the reporter who said that these words were yelled, they have not been successful.

I really hope that everybody is not getting worked up over nothing. It just makes us look silly.

15. Right, plenty of threads about it. None of them with any evidence of it actually happening...
besides the one in Florida where it was reported to have happened. The one out west was somebody yelling "terrorist" not "kill him".

If I missed the threads with links to videos where it is clearly spoken, then, by all means, feel free to enlighten me.

I remember all too well the many threads during the primary where somebody in some Clinton documentary supposedly said something and then upon watching the video myself realized that it was much to do about nothing.

Now, I actually heard the remark live at the Palin event. I can't find the video right now, but here's the best report of it. I suppose you can say it didn't happen cuz you didn't hear it, but this is the best I can do for ya.

22. Not trying to argue with you, because I largely agree... however...
What I was trying to point out was that the quote "Kill him" is not on video or audio. Yes, I have seen the Dana Milbank article. But no, I have not seen or heard nor heard any video or audio evidence of it.

As for the McCain rally, yes, there is video of the "terrorist!" remark. I have already seen that. I am pretty sure that is what was said there in watching the video. and I am extremely appalled by it.

Ok, so, you say that you, yourself, actually heard the live remark of "kill him" at a Palin event? I have no reason not to believe you. It would be much better to have video of it. You say that you can't find it right now. Well, is there video of it? I've been searching like mad to find one and have come up empty. Even the clip that they had on MSNBC with Shuster, it wasn't clear to me that those words could be heard.

The only reason I make a big deal out of this is because I really want to try to convince friends, family who are thinking of voting McCain that this stuff is happening at these rallies, but it is kind of hard to do, since there is no clear, obvious video or audio recordings to point them to. Otherwise, they will just say, "bullshit, that's just some lefty reporter making stuff up."

I, myself believe that this is going on and do not need to be convinced of it, but in order to convince others I really need better evidence than one Washington Post reporter's account and a bunch of messageboard posts.

23. That is pretty clear ... and the one at the Palin rally was even *more* clear.
A more or less lone male voice saying "kill him".

What is still being debated - and it is a fair enough debate - is whether the shout was aimed at Obama or Ayers, whom Palin was talking about. It came right at the point where she connected Ayers to Obama in her little fairy tale.

24. Yes, i have seen that video already...
and I am extremely appalled by it and can use it to try to convince my friends/family who want to vote for McCain that they are a whipping up a frenzy of hatred.

However, I was thought the OP was talking about two different occasions that the words "Kill him" were spoken at rallies and was looking for clarification.

The WaPo article is not enough to go with. It is the only account of it. and apparently the SS hasn't been able to get in touch with Milbank to verify it. I really need verification to use it as a counter attack in dealing with my nutcase friends and family who still want to vote for McCain.

28. Oh, this is fucking stupid!
That video all day was being touted as the one where somebody yelled "terrorist!" not "kill him!".

Now, if you want it to say "kill him" sure, you can think that, because it is not clear enough to know what is said.

Listen, I would love there to be clear, absolute video/audio evidence that these things are being said at these rallies. But this video does not do that!

27. "Kill him" was said twice ... once at each rally.
In the McCain clip, the words "kill him" and terrorist can both be heard - almost simultaneously.

In the Palin clip there is the lone voice that is much more clear saying only "kill him".

6. what, you're surprised? If so, you got some thinking to do,
the racists haven't gone anywhere, the kkk is now wearing white shirts and Armani suits, spreading hate and loading weapons. It's all been undercover the past 40 years. The only thing different, there's a black man running for president of this country and they are scared witless about him winning.
They don't see this as progress, no, they see this as putting "whites" behind the people of color and they can't take that. It doesn't matter if they lose their jobs, if they lose their limbs or their kids, they will not tolerate the election of a black man.
