$50 McCain pulls out a pen
and says "The first pork barrel spending bill that comes to my desk, I will veto it, I'll make them famous and you will know their names."

Any takers?

1. He does like to recycle old lines - maybe he'll say "Take my wife, please..."
And do some skits from I Love Lucy!

3. I love how he always pulls out -what appears to be- a permanent marker
when saying this. I guess we need a visual too, huh?

5. He called it "this old pen" and it was a Sharpie - they have a shelf life of about a month
Of course in my world keeping a pen around for a month constitutes it being an old pen.

12. Gawd, that was a terribly delivered line.
I still don't get his point. "It's an old pen?" WTF?

10. Yeah, maybe that would be McCain's best debate strategy!
Bring back some Rodney Dangerfield lines. :toast:

Governor Palin lobbied for and received more pork per citizen than any other Governor in the country and you've already made her famous."

9. That's different!!! He wasn't the President
As president he will veto those bills but as a senator he will either miss the vote or vote for it.
