Why the MSM will not elaborate on this subject.
How about McCain''s questionable associates?

JOSEPH “JOE BANANAS” BONANO: Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona.

DONALD R. DIAMOND: political favors for real estate developer Donald R. Diamond. McCain stepped in to use official clout to facilitate sale of land that Diamond had wanted.

REP. RICK RENZI (R-AZ) co-chair of McCain’s Arizona Leadership Team indicted for extortion, wire fraud, money laundering and other charges related to a land deal in Arizona

CHARLES KEATING. Keating had called on McCain, among other Senators to help him resist regulators in exchange for the money.

RANDY SCHEUNEMANN, Scheunemann was lobbying for the Republic of Georgia - yet now, he''''s advising McCain on Georgia and Russiap conflict

RALPH REED: Abramoff crony Abramoff directed at least $4.2 million to Reed as he defrauded Indians, McCain never called Reed to testify before the Senate .

3. Because we keep watching
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 07:11 PM by notaboutus
One day when we all stand together to say enough is enough to the MSM then we will see a change.
We all know there is no such thing as liberal media. We all should know Obama as researched by Media Matters and The Center for Media and Politics receives more negative coverage.
Yet we still watch, waiting for them to be honest fair balanced factual.
One day we will start a petition that says we will no longer watch CNN-MSNBC-ABC-CBS-NBC until they are fair and balanced.
Today was a new low in American Politics for MSM they are doing the McCain's campaign dirty work. Running trailers at the bottom of the screen about Ayers. Having pundits on every hour to discuss Ayers. All the while dismissing the Keating 5 scandal against McCain and we watch and watch.
Political junkies waiting for our next fix not realizing we are partly responsible for the joke the MSM has become. If we quit watching set up MSM blackout days write to them. Let their CEO's and advertisers know we are not watching and why. We can make a difference.
When we e-mail or call they are glad. They know we are watching and that's all they care about.

4. You left off one big name - convicted money launderer Raffaelo Follieri
There's an interesting article about this relationship in The Nation:

And bookmarked!

A genuine keeper!

mcsame is up to his hairline (and that's pretty doggone high up, doggonnit-I'll-betcha!) in sleaze.

:puke:

What I like best about all this is the drumbeat that's started - mcsame campaign desperate, grasping at straws, numbers keep tilting Obama's way, they're going negative 'cause they've got nothing else etc - that starts this narrative that soon just absolutely takes over and earworms its way into the national psyche. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy after awhile. It's what gets repeated again and again, it's the propaganda that's currently getting catapulted. But the more that gets out there, and the farther - as more pundits and reporters and writers and anchors and such - in more media outlets, the more a fait accompli it becomes. That's when it starts working the discouragement magic - where republi-CON and CONservative voters get bummed out and decide not to bother even coming out to vote - the "it's no use" and "what's the point" contingents. We like those. That benefits everything down ticket. We like those a LOT.

7. And Cindy McCain's beer franchise has been allegedly involved in criminal activity
http://www.democracynow.org/2004/9/28/who_is_john_mccain_an_in

Amy Goodman interviewed an Arizona news reporter who describes Cindy's father's previous relationship with a gangster who was a part of his liquor empire named Marley. Marley was a business partner of Cindy's father and he obtained the beer franchise for the Hensley family. He allegedly planned a hit that murdered a news reporter who got too close:

JOHN DOUGHERTY:The rise of his—that’s like a history of Arizona dirty politics. The Hensley family was involved with some of the most notorious—at least on the sides—some of the most notorious crimes committed in the state of Arizona, primarily the bombing and murder of Arizona Republic reporter, Don Bolles, and it’s on the edge, but it’s there. The key guy in the Hensley empire was a guy named Kemper Marley. Kemper Marley was a liquor magnate. He controlled a lot of the land in central Arizona. Marley was implicated-–—never charged—in the murder of Bolles, and it was Marley who basically gave the liquor franchise to Hensley back in the 1950’s, and that built their empire from there.

AMY GOODMAN: Why would he want Bolles killed?

JOHN DOUGHERTY:They wanted Bolles killed supposedly because Bolles was writing a series of stories that were very critical of Kemper Marley, and Kemper Marley wanted to get a key position on the racing commission in the state of Arizona. This was back in 1976.

AMY GOODMAN: I remember when journalists got together to investigate Bolles death, ’cause it was the killing of a journalist in this country, and did a series of pieces. It was—

JOHN DOUGHERTY:Yeah, it was the founding project for the Investigative Reporters and Editors. It was a major, major effort that came out here, and it uncovered massive amount of scandal in Arizona from across the board in the political system as well as in the police department, and in a number of other issues; and, ironically, the Arizona Republic, which was the paper Don Bolles worked for, refused to run the story because the I.R.E. was critical of Senator Goldwater and his family as well. It never ran in the Arizona Republic. It’s pretty amazing.

8. Cindy's father was connected with man implicated in Bolles killing
I followed this case because my hometown paper participated in the investigatory team after that 1976 murder of Don Bolles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Bolles). Dug up lots of dirt on Arizona politics.

McCain connection is Cindy McCain's father, Jim Hensley, and his company, Hensley & Co. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hensley_%26_Co.). Apparently Cindy still is controlling stockholder.

Hensley's partner was a man named Kemper Marley

"John Harvey Adamson pleaded guilty in 1977 to second-degree murder for building and planting the bomb that killed Bolles. Adamson accused Phoenix contractor Max Dunlap, an associate of Kemper Marley, of ordering the hit, and Chandler plumber James Robison of triggering the bomb" (from Wikipedia Bolles article).
