What about a warm welcome to all new DU members?
I remember when I just dropped in - the welcome made me feel...at home.

So, this is a big welcome to everyone who has just found DU - or decided to un-lurk ;-)
If you want make yourselves known, maybe tell us what you like about DU, and anything you'd like to share (no worries please), go ahead.

Welcome! :toast:

darn smilin' doggone it

1. I would second that and recommend it
I lurked for almost a year before I signed on... but am glad I joined in.
To all newbies, remember there are a wide range of opinions in our great and inclusive party. Don't be scared away by diversity!

2. Welcome all to DU...
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 05:05 PM by JohnnyRingo
As time goes on I see DU growing expotenionally with more exposure to the failings of the "Great Republican Experiment".

on edit:
It was "Top Ten Conservative Idiots" that first brought me here.

3. It was HuffPo that first brought me here.
Things I like about DU: very smart, snappy people.

Things I sometimes dislike about DU: very smart, snappy people.

But as long as the debate floats above the fray of snark, I find that I can engage constructively with almost anyone here.

4. A friend told
me about this site a while back. He was banned a few weeks ago by the moderators, for what reasons he doesn't know.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome.

6. good place for information
I love the DU. Often "breaking news" is posted here before it hits the airwaves. Its an excellent place to hunt for original sources of information, good advice, informed opinions and the occasional really good joke.
I've lurked for awhile, posting a few quips here and there, but I am starting to warm up to posting my own opinions. The grammer police do scare me though.
;-p
