Tina Fey should win an Emmy for her portrayal of Palin
Seriously, she captures her aggressive stupidity like no one has ever done.

11. There is for if she was a guest say on...
.... I don't know 30 Rock, if it wasn't her show. Tim Conway and Elain Strich won for guest starring on those, but I don't know if SNL necessarily qualifies.

5. How about the Medal of Freedom? She will deserve it more
than some of the Bushies who got it.

7. Someone will write their thesis on the role of Tina Fey in the 2008 election.
She has put her stamp on the process this year like no performer since Chevy Chase defined Gerald Ford. Dana Carvey's Daddy Bush was pretty compelling, too.

12. I have to admit I loved Hartman's Reagan
especially when he would act like an old fool with the cameras on and was a Dr. Evil like mad genius off.

13. I honestly think she'll ultimately be responsible..
for the movement of at least a percent or two from McCain to Obama.

By avoiding high volumes of media exposure typical for a Vice Presidential nominee, Palin hasn't succeeded in defining herself to the voting public. Enter Tina Fey, whose brilliant portrayals are watched live by millions, spread online via all number of websites, and then repeated on cable news outlets every-hour-on-the-hour for several days after each performance.

If for some reason this race tightens and Obama ends-up winning by a percent or two, I'd be willing to name Tina Fey a responsible party. Obama had better give her front-row tickets to the inauguration.

16. I think she has defined Palin more than any pundit or politician has.

8. I just watched this weeks debate parody, and almost had a deadly asthma attack laughing
..and you're 100% right, Fey is uncanny as Palin.

10. That was brilliant
I was wondering how she would top some of her earlier Palin material, but tonight was just hysterical. I can't think of anything from the debate she missed. Senseless repetition of "maverick"? Check. Ignoring questions to go off on other topics? Check. Distinct overuse of "folksy" words and phrases like "You betcha" and "Joe Six-pack"? Check. Incomprehensible statements that sound like a bad Czech to English computer program? Check. She even managed to sneak in a reference to the whole shooting wolves from the air thing. And that bit at the end with the flute? I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe.

she's quite an actress. who knew?

judging from the skit that came after,
though, i don't think i like the show
much anymore.

17. Palin better dye her hair blonde and/or gain 100 pounds quickly!
Fey is destroying any semblance of competence that Palin desperately tries to convey. Fortunately for Palin, her public embarrassment will be over by this time next month - as long as there is no funny business with the machines.
