I honestly try not to read Free Republic but sometimes do so to see what the weirdos are saying to each other. I thought some of you would get some chuckles out of this thread on the attendance numbers at American Carol which opened last night. I particularly like the comment from the person who said they attended the 1:55 show today and there were 5 people in the theater.

1. Where to start...
"I dragged my wife to see it at the 13:55 show today. There were 5 of us in the show. That would be $35!"
OK, so I wonder if this armchair warrior actually served or just thinks posting in military time is hot and $35 whole dollars? Viva La Revolucion

Hubby and I went to see it today. I counted 12 people.

Good movie, made me cry in some scenes but over all funny.

Wife and I went to the early show today, a little over half full, not bad for a 12:30 start time.
Funny as all get out, you betcha.

Sadly, some of the parody was so true that I'd get pissed at the scene.

Live in western PA and the prices were reduced {for all movies} to $ 4.50. A small coke was $3.90, the water fountain didn't work so I waited and drank beer at the Vets.

Husband and I saw it today. I loved it! Small crowd at the movie/bar/restaurant where we saw it. But everyone burst out in laughter all the way through the movie.

I want to go see it again. I want to buy the dvd so I can own my own copy. Loved it!

A multi screen cinemain Straford Ct.

I don’t think the sparse attendance was all that unusual for a Sat matinee for a niche movie.

9. Okay. Slow morning. I took a cruise. There's a thread over there re:
October Surprise with 133 replies and I read through the first 50. Many responses suggesting the Clintons will bail them out. That the PUMA movement will take off and save the day. That Barack will step out and Hillary will take over. That the Clintons will unleash pics of Barack snorting coke. That Hillary will become pregnant with Obama's lovechild. That the Clintons haven't had their last say yet and have something big which will come forward soon. Anyway, it's like they think McCain would win with the Clinton's support. What's with these nuts?
