Memo to the Democratic Congress
Subject: National Security
Top Secret

The Chinese are developing a secret weapon that can kill us all, simply by breathing the air. We will need $500 billion dollars to develop the weapon to counter this danger. They already have it in production. Are you ready to give us the money to protect the American people from this danger? We have no time to waste.

Also, there is a blight upon our wheat crop that may destroy our entire food chain. We will need another $500 billion to develop a counter to this food virus. We could all starve to death within the year. Are you willing to give us the money to save the American people from this blight?

Also, the Iranians have a new weapon in Iraq, thought to be developed by the Russians. It is the smallest nuclear bomb ever developed. It can be mailed in an envelope. It is a very destructive weapon. We would request that the Congress consider this a deathly and immediate threat to our troops and our way of life. We would like for the Congress to approve a supplemental for another $500 billion dollars. Time is of the essence. We cannot wait or the next thing we see may be a mushroom cloud over our troops in Iraq. Are you ready to stand up and give us the money for this dire threat against our troops?

We have more requests but we do not want to strain your beautiful minds with too much stress at one time.
