Top Biz Profs:Bush Economic Failure "so extreme ... unimaginable just a few years ago"- Bush History
The nation's top business school professors urge President Bush to change his fiscal policies, pointing out that Bush's economic failure is "so extreme that it would have been unimaginable just a few years ago." Also, another Bush insider comes forward to say that his plea for more troops in Iraq was ignored, causing years of death and violence. And a top-5 Bushism for absolute weirdness

1. Newspaper article, December 29, 2000 - America Debt Free by 2009!
I cut out this article at the end of 2000 and have had it pinned on the wall over my desk since then.

It shows a picture of Clinton pointing to the graph on a chart showing the amount of America's public debt by year, decreasing to zero by 2009.

At that time it was unimaginable that we could possibly be in this fiscal mess and that the American people voted into office and kept voting into office those who perpetrated this disaster.

2. Anybody who paid attention to what Stupid did to Texas
knew exactly what that man would do to the whole country. A lot of us who were paying close attention warned about his tax cutting combined with profligate overspending and were ignored.

It's just a shame we are in so much trouble that we can't get any pleasure out of saying we told you so.

This was entirely predictable. The fact that business professors didn't predict it should be justification for firing.

4. Bush should have mailed this to himself witth the note 'open in 2001'!
I hadn't heard that when Bush was running I wish his record as governor on fiscal matters were better know when he was running for president. All I remember hearing was how good he was working with Dems in Texas (somthing that didn't seem to carry over to the White House)

I just stumbled across this quote from then Governor Bush, a warning to the russians as they dealt with internal terrorists from break-away republics: The Russian government will discover that it cannot build a stable and unified nation on the ruins of human rights…We want to cooperate with Russia on its concern with terrorism, but that is impossible unless Moscow operates with civilized self-restraint.

Bush should have mailed this to himself witth the note 'open in 2001'!

3. Any defender of the Bush record should just look at your graph
Just look at the numbers. You are right. The numbers tell the tale. The Bush record has been abysmal. Instead of making progress, as in the Clinton years, we are back-tracking big time. Indefensible! Thanks for posting that.
