Give Howard Dean a lot of the credit. The fifty state strategy- building state parties up- is really paying off.

I hope we see Howard in a prominent position in the Obama administration.

4. uh, Dean's building up of the party has been
tremendously effective in states that many saw as indelibly red. It's not just bush.

5. In 2004, Mr kt and I were part of a group of Los Angeles Democrats who traveled to Clark Country
and worked out hearts out for Kerry. Our collective organization made inroads. We kept the relationahip, going back for mayor races and other down ticket kind of local elections. I am so pleased to see the tip to blue for Nevada. It has made all that time and money (yep, we're still paying off the credit cards for that, as I took a leave from work,) was worth something.

8. James Carville wanted Harold Ford to replace Howard Dean...
...after the 2006 election, on the theory that Democrats should have won even more seats in 2006.

9. Texas? MISSISSIPPI is barely pink!
Texas has some blue areas, and they've elected Democrats to statewide office in the last decade.

But MISSISSIPPI? And for a BLACK MAN?

If ANY state south of Iowa goes blue, this could be a generational change in the map.

11. Texas and Mississippi will not be going blue....
Honestly I think this is the closest he gets in both states....Texas especially. Would be nice to win those two but let's face it, it's not happening (barring a high black voter turnout in MS and a low white voter turnout).

15. Probably not
but if they have to dump money into Mississippi to keep the state "safe," that just helps us.
