many repubs went for it too, including the House leadership, and in the Senate, repubs went overwhelmingly for it. I think the legislation stinks, but people saying how this will damage Obama and Congressional dems, are wrong. This hurts McCain and the repukes, not dems.

The Dems are already labeled socialists (fairly or unfairly), but now the Repukes voted for socialism. If anything this will piss off ideologues on the right.
