and there were at least 30 bars.

4. No, it refers to working class. Joe with his six-pack of bud.
The old, original meaning of six-pack. Not that newfangled reference to washboard abs.

29. Bullshit
I am joe-six-pack and I know plenty of joe-six-packs. I would hardly consider any of us stupid or low intelligent voters. We are aware of what is going on around us, by either observation or reading. We form our own opinions and we vote accordingly and we vote Democratic.
I can't say the same thing for the petite-bourgeois ass hats who flutter about dissing labour and worrying about what type of beer we drink.

And I've drank my share of six packs.

But that doesn't make me (or you) a "Joe-six-pack".

Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 12:18 PM by ailsagirl
"Roughly equivalent (to John Q Public), but more pejorative, are the names Joe Six-pack, Joe Blow, and Joe Schmoe, implying a lower-class citizen (from the Yiddish schmo: simpleton, or possibly Hebrew sh'mo: (what's)-his-name)."
