1. It's two-edged sword
I really wouldn't want Ted Kennedy, Dennis Kucinich, and a number of other congress critters to not be there. On the other hand, there are many that I would like to see gone and there are many who stayed there too long and did incredible damage--Phil Gramm comes to mind.

2. Some of them have been there 50 years
They are old and senile.We need to have a limit on them so that they arent so damn sure of themselves

3. As I understand it, this is a matter of state law, even though a federal office is involved.
So do you have direct voter ballot initiatives in your state? Or must all laws be enacted by your state legislature?

5. Not necessarily a good idea.
Missouri has term limits for its state legislature, and what that means is that there has been a complete turnover of their legislature in recent years. Complete and total. No one in either house with more than eight years in that house, because that's what the term limits are. It has not been good for the state.
