Media Being Hard on Palin Should NOT be an issue
Just because she is a female, everything should be normal which hasn't been normal in terms of being soft. Obama just finished a campaign against Hillary Clinton and trust me the media has never held back on her. The difference is because you can't, she is top of her shit, she is a very strong formidable candidate, stronger then anyone from the republican field. But as evidenced from the "vast right wing conspiracy" they've been going after her over a decade, now the want to change the rules because someone can't answer slightly challenging questions.
