Poll question: Most Tragically Forgotten Bush-era Disaster?
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 09:12 AM by El Pinko
George Bush's 8 years of squatting in the White House have been marked by many things: his lack of grace and humility, the endless stream of poisonous lies spewing from his filthy mouth, his amazing arrogance, his lust for mass murder, finally quenched by the unprovoked slaughter of much of the nation of Iraq, his moronic speaking style, his clumsiness and frequent injuries, and his complete disdain for the American people.

But one of the things that seems most noteworthy is that his administration seems to have presided over one disaster after another. Some they caused, others they merely handled poorly, but there is no way anyone could claim that this is anything but the most disaster-ridden administration in American history.

There have been so many tragic disasters that one just blends into the next and the shock of the latest horror drowns out the memories of the ones that came before, especially in our 24-hour news-cycle media-driven culture.

So what is the most tragically forgotten Bush (or Bush-era) disaster?

1. Other: 2000 election stolen in neocon coup
that would be the worst, because it created the environment that enabled all the others.

2. One that you've left off - closing the deal on the Plame situation.
Following it up to Rove and Cheney and Bush and then impeachment. Really big ball dropped there.

3. The rewriting of UNTOLD numbers of laws (that need not even go through Congress).
I think it will be a "shock and awe" moment for the next Prez.
