Obama Makes McCain Very Uncomfortable
By David Nather | October 1, 2008 8:40 PM | Permalink | Comments (1)

Let the record reflect that Barack Obama made the approach to John McCain tonight.

As the two shared the Senate floor tonight for the first time since they won their party nominations, Obama stood chatting with Democrats on his side of the aisle, and McCain stood on the Republican side of the aisle.

So Obama crossed over into enemy territory.

He walked over to where McCain was chatting with Republican Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida and Independent Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut. And he stretched out his arm and offered his hand to McCain.

McCain shook it, but with a “go away” look that no one could miss. He tried his best not to even look at Obama.

Finally, with a tight smile, McCain managed a greeting: “Good to see you.”

Obama got the message. He shook hands with Martinez and Lieberman — both of whom greeted him more warmly — and quickly beat a retreat back to the Democratic side.

24. McCain is so fake,
His smile, his nervous laugh. It irritates the heck out of me. Just for that alone I will die if he gets elected (having to hear that for 4 years). THEN, God forbid he kick the bucket, having to listen to Palin is even worse with that whiney, nasely over the top accent! UGH!

3. Sounds like Obama is messin with his head
I expect McPOW to take a swing at him before this is over. He's beginning to look like a big overgrown spoiled child, with a very tenuous grip on his emotions.

Obama had to know how uncomfortable he was making the poor little bastard. He's goading him.

25. Yeah, that's how I read it too...
Obama would have McCain snapping his clubs by the end of a round of golf.

30. That explains so many things.........
That pasty look, the dead eyes, the strange aversion to sunlight.

Thank you so much for enlightening me. I shall now commence the lighting of the chicken feathers and the stroking of the wild ferrets to keep away the evil spirits during the debate tonight.

This is a trick I learned from my BFF, Sarah. She has a government job in Alaska, I think. Some kind of civil service thing. She told me to do that chicken feather/ferret thing whenever I think the Republicans might lose.

Here's hoping......................................

6. Makes the heart bleed for America.
How did we allow such bottom feeders into positions of power. No wonder they avert their eyes when in the presence of a true prince of manners and posture and grace.

13. I'm sorry, but I would not vote for a Dem who had McCain's personality and temperment
If our nominee consistently acted the way McCain has been acting (especially over the past week or two), I wouldn't lift a finger for him, and that includes voting. No one should be rewarded for being such a shit

With him everything is personal and he reacts emotionally. He can't do it any other way. Obama is smart to force him to exhibit distasteful trait in public.

20. ROFLOL
Obama is gently poking McCrud with a little stick.

McCrud is like a hornets nest. Rounded and wrinkly on the outside, and an angry mass on the inside. We all know what happens when you poke a hornets nest long enough!

Obama is doing exactly the right thing. McCrud's anger is harder and harder for him to fully contain. A full fledged explosive outburst would make a beautiful headline.

hehe
