looks like Saxby Chambliss is going to lose his election
Jim Martin is nipping at Saxby's sorry @ss. I've been contributing to Martin for the last few paychecks, and I couldn't be happier at this latest polling.

If you've got a couple of bucks, please contribute to Jim.

Meanwhile, here's a good letter in today's Stars & Stripes:

Financial ‘terrorism’ at work

The U.S. doctrine of refusing to negotiate with terrorists has taken a serious blow this week. The terrorists in question are not radical Islamic jihadists bent on converting infidels at the point of a scimitar or anti-government militia members driving a rental truck full of fertilizer and fuel oil.

No, these terrorists are the leaders of the U.S. financial community who this week have decided to hold U.S. taxpayers hostage to the tune of $700 billion, deliverable immediately and with no strings and no questions attached.

Think calling these people terrorists is a little over the top? Think again.

Terrorism is the systematic use of terror to coerce one group to the will of another. Terrorists are dedicated to an ideological goal and deliberately target noncombatants to achieve their goals.

By this definition, the executives and leaders of the U.S. financial community are terrorists of the first order. Their ideological goal is to increase profits regardless of the costs. Their targets of choice are U.S. taxpayers, and their tactics consist of unveiled threats of financial ruin.

The very people who are responsible for our economic collapse have the unmitigated gall to come to us and demand that we bail them out with no limits on the amount of compensation they receive.

4. Kay Hagen will kick Dole out of the Senate
....another campaign I've been following closely and helping out financially.

Bruce Lunsford is very close to beating Mitch McConnell. I don't know Lunsford, but there isn't a lot of excitement on ActBlue for him as far as contributions go. He could be the 60th senate seat. Is he another Lieberman? Anyone know? Why no enthusiasm?

5. We voted for Martin via absentee ballot last week! Next to Obama winning,
my biggest dream is to see Saxby go down in flaming glory!

6. Yep. I know the day when I'll be opening up the much anticipated Dom P!
Fox snooze will be going down in flames as well. And what about Rush?

I'm sorry to those dems who live in Utah, but is there a dumber state? It has the lowest percentage of Obama approval in the nation.

7. A note of caution
The polls were against him up to Election Day in 2002 and yet somehow he "won". A lot will depend on the voting machines.

9. no doubt
but it's too the point where the wingers risk revolution if the tampering becomes too obviously wide-spread. We're not talking one or two states anymore. This is going to be a blood-letting....red blood.

10. I still think Martin is worth a contribution
There's going to have to be a lot of cheating in too many states if the GOP plans to win this time 'round. The people are in no mood for that.

13. I feel more kindly toward used toilet paper than to Saxby after what he did to Max
I disliked him before that.

I find him detestable since then.

I LOVE Max.
