Last night PBS aired "P.O.V." and it was about uninsured Americans.

They profiled several. I watched for half an hour...and then I couldn't take any more. I turned it off and went to bed.

More and more, reading or watching about the state of the Empire, I feel like I just have to disengage; I don't want to hear any more.

Personally, I have been living without health care for 10 years. I contracted lyme disease 12 yrs ago and my insurer dropped me two yrs later. I now have all of the health problems that come with chronic lyme and have been unable to work since July. I tried to get government health but the feds believe lyme is not chronic. I just hope an Obama presidency will help someone like me.

The Latino gentleman was very fortunate to get the surgery he needed free of charge.
