5. The sheep around here are the ones who refuse to believe that this is critcal problem

that will affect them and theirs directly if prompt action isn't taken.

In fact, in all the years of DU, I have NEVER seen more willfully clueless sheep following the group think herd than during this crisis.

banks and we still had a great depression.

4. Well, CNN actually let it slip this morning..
that most people still oppose the bailout, even after the Monday Meltdown.

It's going to be interesting to watch.

pretty much as they have for the past 8 years if not longer. i'll be streaming cspan at work again. :(

7. I think it partly depends on if they are up for election this year.
My guess is that those who are up for re-election will vote no.
