I find it quite amazing that Lou Dobbs is slamming the bailout!
I know he used to have a "money Expert" Show quite a while ago, and he's always portrayed as a guy who really understands finance. He was just on The Situation Room talking about his upcfoming show & spouting that this bailout would make matters worse, and how stupid it is to bail out these giant institutions. He said they should put money into the economy at the bottom by helping the people and stimulating buying power, and work on a trickle UP plan. The hell with those rich guys. WHAT'S with that? Lou Dobbs sure never seemed like an anti big business guy to me!

I don't have a link because his show only begins here at 7PM est. Info was from the short appearance he always make to tell people what he will be talking about.

Yes, I think I've awakened in bizarro world...

2. In many ways, he's a true conservative -
not like the frauds currently running around calling themselves "conservatives." They're so far from what true conservatives believe as to be a completely different species - and not quite human, I believe.

But, don't be fooled. Dobbs is also insane.

3. Well, it does nothing to get rid of those filthy Mexicans
He's like John Hostetler (Fuckwit-Indiana) used to be - if it didn't ban abortion, he wasn't for it.

4. i saw a promo for the show and lou said bailout was a farce cause the dow went up 500 today
lou should know that the folks with lots of money are buying shitloads of real cheap stock, bargain basement prices....they may feast for a few days.

lou's outrage is often misplaced

5. Yea, I know. His comment on why the DOW rose today is the
exact opposit from every other financial expert on any channel today! I'm starting to question Lou's mental stability! Last week (or the week before) I real a clip about Lou losing a bundle when a bank in Marietta, Ga. shut their doors. Apparently he was one of the top investors. At the time I was really surprised because of his financial background. I would have thought he would have known there was a problem soon enough to get out! He's not really old enough to consider altzheimers, is he?

6. Inexperienced buyers were NOT buying stocks today.
The average joe on the boulevard has been taking cash OUT of their money market account, if they have one, and stuffing it in their mattress.

The people buying stocks today are seasoned wall street gamblers. I don't think they bought at the bottom just yet, but they might have.

If the congress would NOT pass any fucking legislation for a week or two, and let some of the banks and the fed figure it out for themselves, the bill for our final package could be MUCH MUCH MUCH lower, and taxpayers could still have a nice equity stake, down the road, if we wanted one.

But we all know congress is going to throw good money after bad in this whole thing. So they might have caught the bottom. It's all smoke & mirrors anyway, and the threat of the market tanking so bad it couldn't recover was just that....a threat.
