Obama's long lost Republican cousin
LOS ANGELES, California, September 30, 2008 (NBC) -- A southern California resident is asking herself is blood thicker than party affiliation?

The 82-year-old life-long Republican just learned she's related to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Louise Mohler is one of the most precise voters you'll ever meet.

At 82 years old, she still reads every line on every page of the ballot book and thinks long and hard about every issue and candidate.

"I figure out I have to read two pages and three quarters to figure out what to do,” Mohler said.
