It's a basic issue of "trust"
Either you believe George W Bush and Henry Paulson or you do not? Personally, I think most folks here are fairly intelligent. If they cannot understand the issue, it is because the "issue" has not been adequately explained or defined. Personally, I cannot trust any explanation or issue if it cannot be communicated in a way that makes sense. If it cannot explained in such a way, there is generally something secretive or shady about the whole explanation. I cannot buy the excuse that it is "too complex" or too complicated for the "average" person to understand. When I hear that, a red flag goes up. I smell a rat. I smell a flim-flam.

For many, they were willing to go along with the plan, not because they understood it, but because they trusted Congressmen and Senators like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and others. That is their choice. I cannot follow that type of logic. It's a matter of "trust". If it cannot be explained in a logical and common sense manner, then I do not trust it.
