Didn't the USSR run into the same problem as us with their one un-winnable war in Afghanistan?
The only other superpower in the world went financially belly-up trying to pay for one war that they could never win. And Afghanistan was on the Soviets own border and it still drove them to bankruptcy. Does that sound familiar?

The Soviets actually had Cosmonauts circling the earth at the time that they couldn't afford to bring home.

And we currently have two of these un-winnable wars on the other side of the world and we are doing the same thing. Were afraid to leave but its too expensive to stay. Nice fix Little Boots and his Rethug friends have gotten us into.

We are like the monkey with his hand in the cookie jar. We can't get out without letting go of the cookies. We need to let go of the cookies before we are bankrupt.

No one ever mentions this. I wonder why?

1. The day the Soviets went into Afghanistan
My comment was "They just found their Viet Nam" History shows my statement to be correct.

3. Britain
When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
So-oldier of the Queen!

4. That was Reagan's genius plan. Remember?
All the conservatives take credit for it.

5. I do not think ANYONE wins in that country.
I think we should just get out. It seems to eat up any army that goes into it. I think some times we need a few countries that we can fence off and just let the crazies run wild inside it and let the rest of the world move on. We could set aside one state in the USA and do the same. Free every thing but with a Bible in one hand and gun in the other and lets see what happens.
