Ann Coulter Blames Financial Crisis on Minorities
NEW YORK Ann Coulter has produced a syndicated column this week blaming the current financial crisis squarely on ... minorities.

She concludes: "Political correctness had already ruined education, sports, science and entertainment. But it took a Democratic president with a Democratic congress for political correctness to wreck the financial industry."

Along the way she declares: "Instead of looking at 'outdated criteria,' such as the mortgage applicant's credit history and ability to make a down payment, banks were encouraged to consider nontraditional measures of credit-worthiness, such as having a good jump shot or having a missing child named 'Caylee.'"

5. A Democratic president?
Is Little Arfin' Annie trying to pull a Fox chyron, and make Dumbya a Democrat now? She's so off her game, she forgot to say a "Democrat" president with a "Democrat" congress. Maybe the peroxide finally got that last brain cell.

12. Let me guess, the Community Reinvestment Act?
Just the idea that a lending crisis created from 2004 to 2007 was caused by a 1977 law is silly. But it’s even more ridiculous when you consider that most subprime loans were made by firms that aren’t subject to the CRA.

Finally, keep in mind that the Bush administration has been weakening CRA enforcement and the law’s reach since the day it took office. The CRA was at its strongest in the 1990s, under the Clinton administration, a period when subprime loans performed quite well. It was only after the Bush administration cut back on CRA enforcement that problems arose, a timing issue which should stop those blaming the law dead in their tracks.

"Community Reinvestment Act had nothing to do with subprime crisis"

I will say this, when the right gets hold of what they believe is a good talking point, they don't let go, regardless of how many times it's corrected.

I've been waiting a long time for the latest Ann Coulter ravings.

And my, my, she's been a busy fascist, hasn't she?

Let's see what we've got here.....

Clinton bashing? Check.
Race baiting? Check.
"Big Gubmint" demonizing? Check.
"Political Correctness"? Check.
10-year old "slippery slope" arguments? Check.

Yup, it's her all right.
