1. From whom?
The Dems were behind her, and did what they were in agreement to do. I haven't heard of any Dems in the House upset at her.

6. She knew exactly how they were going to vote, and they had an agreement.
The pukes didn't hold up their end of the deal.

5. Zero to none
Pelosi had no role here in the bill's failure to pass. Don't buy into the Repug nonsense about her little speech causing other Repugs to falter. They're just whining, the ninnies.

7. No, I'm talking about her having a role in this monstrosity of a bill being considered at all.

8. Oh
That's a whole different question.

Depends on how the November elections go. Get enough new Democrats in there, and someone else has a chance.

Who, do you think, would make a run for the Speaker's job?

I'd love to see Barney Frank, but he'd never do it.

10. Frank's kind of obviously compromised by this mess now.
How about Conyers?

11. I'd love to see Conyers take it,
but I doubt he has the compromising temperament required for the job.

Honestly, I can't think of anyone right now.

Let's just sit back and enjoy the show. The meltdown of George W. Bush - that's what this bailout bill failure is, really - is a beautiful thing.
