McBush: "We need a deal. We need a deal. We need a deal." ABC News
What he needs is an enema to move his campaign after playing the savior of the country in D.C.

McCain, who had threatened to skip tonight's presidential debate unless a deal was set, was even more blunt when he met with the Republican Party's leadership caucus this morning.

"We need a deal. We need a deal. We need a deal," he said according to a senior House leadership aide.

A short time later McCain's campaign said he would be heading to the debate in Oxford, Miss., and issued a statement suggesting that his opponents had used the crisis for political purposes.

"At a moment of crisis that threatened the economic security of American families, Washington played the blame game rather than work together to find a solution that would avert a collapse of financial markets," the statement said.

2. We'd be crazy to make any deal with Bush
AS Bush has virtually nullified over 1000 bill with his unconstitutional "signing statements", the Dems would be crazy to make a deal with him. All he would have to do is use another "signing statement" to ignore all the conditions that the Dems want to any deal, and we're back to Paulson's original non-plan.

5. Classy.
" 'At a moment of crisis that threatened the economic security of American families, Washington played the blame game rather than work together to find a solution that would avert a collapse of financial markets,' the statement said."

He said as he BLAMED the Democrats for ruining the economy and sending the country to hell with their partisan, politics-first trashing of American freedom and goodness and Godliness. Real classy McMeddler...
