8. Good for her
As the host of a news show, she should disseminate information most of the time and reserve a small, clearly defined spot for her opinion.

I know that isn't what most people wanted when Rachel got her show. But if I want to be preached to, I'll watch Billy Graham.

3. Rachel said, "McCain came to DC to make a plan happen. Now it's not happening
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 08:15 PM by Lex
so what did he make this big move for? Will he leave DC with nothing?"

Pat Buchanan: "He's put himself in a box."

Yep.

6. Shelby is my Sen, and I cannot believe what I am hearing.
Yeah, I know he is a Republican, which is why it is all the more surprising to hear that he doesn't support the bill, doesn't seem to support McCain.
Shelby said he had gotten letters from "some of the smartest economists in the country"
all of whom say don't do the bail out.

9. Shelby used to be a Dem
He switched to Republican shortly after Bill Clinton was elected. I think that it was in 1994.

10. No love lost between Shelby and McCain.
They've come to blows in the past.
