Great news on the ground in Colorado Indiana Iowa New Mexico Virginia New Hampshire & North Carolina
Here are some of the early numbers on how Obama's campaign is breaking new ground:

In Colorado, which Kerry lost by 5% and Gore lost by 8%, we're way up in all the polls (average lead over 5%, some polls show a 9% lead):

In Indiana, which Kerry lost by a whopping 21% and Gore lost by 16%, the recent polls show a very tight race -- within the polls' margin of error -- and one recent poll shows us winning by 3%:

In Iowa, which Kerry lost, the recent polls show us up by 10% or more with one recent poll showing a 14% lead:

In New Mexico, which Kerry lost, the most recent polls show us leading by 7% or more and one recent poll has us winning by 11%:

In Virginia, which Kerry and Gore both lost by 8%, the most recent polls are all tight -- within the polls' margin of error -- except for one recent poll which gives us a 6% lead:

In New Hampshire, which Gore lost and Kerry (the Senator from the neighboring state) barely won by 1%, the average of the recent polls shows Obama winning and doing even better than Kerry did with a recent poll giving us a 6% lead:

In North Carolina, which Kerry lost by 12% and Gore lost by 13%, Obama leads in the most recent poll, and all of the last four polls show the race either tied or with Obama up 2% or down only 1%.

While this is no time to ease up because McCain-Palin is a mean-spirited beast that will tell any lie when it is cornered, it is also not a time to panic.

4. 2006 taught us that we can win even if they cheat
We need to make sure we have enough of a lead to do that again

6. Absolutely! I have a very sinister view of the polls of late. The powers
that be have through skewed and shopped sampling been able to keep the polls relatively close. However, when Sen. Obama started pulling away from mcsame, mcsame has done everything in his bag of tricks to distract the populace from Sen. Obama. imho

5. Turnout, Turnout, Turnout.
When it is obvious that we have won, then we will win for sure. Everyone needs to go vote

2. Virginia
I live in a very red section of Virginia, and I've seen more and more Obama signs every day. It's very exciting!

3. We have to work like we're down by 20.
I went to my team meeting tonight (we get our own office this weekend). Our team is doing VRD at the library and rec center Sat morning, 3 sets of canvassers Sat, 3 sets on Sunday...

This is no time to relax...the Repubs cleared a lot of voters off the rolls in CO, so we've got to update addresses and get new voters.

Our GOTV is gonna make Rove bleed out of his eyes.
