8. Yeah - on the Yahoo composite poll, out of 40-something states reporting, OK has
the LOWEST % for Obama except for Utah.

11. This man shouldn't be allowed near a teaching facility
except as an example of closed minded ignorance.

And I need a shower after reading that. Ew.

15. Too bad he didn't tell us how the French would have reacted to a genuine pretension.
As in:

EDMOND — When Benjamin Franklin was dispatched to France as ambassador of the United States in 1776, he won the hearts of the French through his authenticity. Rather than take on an affected and phony continental style, Franklin eschewed the powdered wig of the European gentleman and donned the fur cap of an American frontiersman. Original genius and polymath, Franklin understood that the French would see through any false pretension but respect an authenticity that sprang from an unpretentious and naive love of country.

Right professor.

18. A poor article from a supposed "professor"
no understanding of US history. I guess the civil rights era was just no big deal and violence aganist the civil rights marchers was just "good clean fun." :eyes: Re-hashed faux-patriotic pandering puked pablum from RW squawk radio. Nothing original, much less thought provoking. :puke:

19. Counter point
The professor has a point, but not for the reasons he wrote. I found this article on Yahoo! http://news.yahoo.com/page/election-2008-political-pulse-obama-race and it does not paint a good picture. :( I thought about its own thread, but this thread folded in nicely.
