Call or E mail BOTH your US Senators and YOUR Congressman about this BS 700 billion give away to the Wall st banks/investment firms. Google and go to Bernie Sanders website as he has a seemingly decent piece of legislation already concerning this rip off. When you call/e mail, make sure you mention that it is NOT a Republican/Democratic issue, that it is an American issue and affects us all whatever party affiliation. If this passes we are all screwed for the next ________ years (fill in your own guess). If Obama wins the Presidency and we also get more Senators and Congress people in, we won't have the money to do a damn thing. We'll be lucky to keep afloat the sorry state of things as they are now. CALL AND E MAIL NOW!!!!!!!

1. And remind them to not give away any more of our Constitution to these criminals.
Tell them not to fall for the Shock Doctrine in action.

3. I emailed both
my Congressman and our two Senators, thoughtful, articulate, intelligent (if I do say so myself) pleas to refuse to sign into law this premature and badly-thought-out bailout of an entity that does not deserve to be rewarded with American taxpayers' dollars.

However, I am not optimistic. This is a financial Patriot Act coming right down our throats.

5. Done. Here It Is
Dear Representative:

Regarding our financial crisis, I am appalled by Hank Paulson, the federal financial regulatory apparatus, and Congress.

We've spent hundreds of billions (most of which will end up in the pockets of the wealthy who created this fiasco, and who profited mightily from it) and nothing has worked? We've had a year since the financial markets started seizing up - was that not enough time to remedy the problem?

Now we are being asked to spend yet another $700 billion (This week! Don't ask any questions!). Given the track record so far, why should anyone have any confidence that this $700 billion will do anything whatsoever? This sum will probably balloon upwards, and will, again, primarily show up in the pockets of the wealthy charlatans who created this crisis.

As my representative, and as Chair of the Financial Services Committee, I urge you to make certain that if this proposed bailout passes, it includes provisions to help the other 99% who have not profited from this financial shell game. I urge that this bailout attempt be tied to:

1. Raising the capital gains tax to at least 30%, so that the wealthy pay taxes at the same rate as the middle class.

2. Capping credit card rates at prime + 3%.

3. Repealing the awful bankruptcy law written by the credit card companies.

6. We really need to make sure that our Congress looks long and hard
at this proposal.

Remind them of the lies the bu$h regime told to start a war. Could they be doing this again? It is a valid and serious question.

Ask them to remember the Iraq War Resolution

8. They're getting inundated from all sides, but will they read and understand the text
before the vote on it?

This is the martial law declaration on the financial system, and the emergency is on, at least in the media.

I hear the panicked are preparing to jump the financial ship Monday, and this would just trigger the crisis to pressure a quick vote on this mother of inequity.
