but I just gotta' ask it myself:

I was raised with the very simple idea that you don't spend hard earned money on junk.

I would never knowingly invest my money in something worthless.

What gives the government the right to force me to buy worthless financial instruments?

I wonder what those Americans that suffered through the winter at Valley Forge would have said about that...

It's an ugly realization but, and I feel bad saying it, but Sergio Leone was right about this country --and that's not good.

2. We give the government the ability, if not the right, through our inaction.

Does something need to be done? Of course, this is a crisis of monumental proportion with global implications and consequences. Is this the best course? Not by any measure.
