7. You know, that's my biggest fear: that they'll attack several states ...
... and we'll have more people lying to themselves that, "They won't do it again."

Or "Don't think like that!"

They've done it before, no one stopped them; they'll do it again.

It's that simple.

4. Other - I'm really hopeful that we won't let it happen again. That no
matter what they throw at us, we'll have such an overwhelming, overpowering turnout, that their efforts will be for naught.

17. Totally agree -- And I'm not taking anything for granted.
And DAILY we hear of attempts to winnow out the Dem voters, but I just have a feeling that everyone will be blown away by the sheer numbers of people who turn out to vote for Obama. Hopeful, not complacent.

31. Nothing really solid. But, on primary night, there was a 20 county "glitch"
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 05:39 PM by sfexpat2000
that counted "Uncommitted" votes as "Write In" and if it weren't for Olbermann, we'd never have known that. It wasn't reported anywhere else. And when I called the SOS office, they lied about what they did about it. First they said they hand counted the votes after they found the problem. After a few minutes, the rep relaxed and told me they hot started those machines. That means, lots of lost votes. Okay. Maybe my tinfoil needs adjusting but if they can do that on primary night, why not on election night?

Another tweaky thing, there have been some stories out of MI about how white blue collar won't vote for Obama and those reports are mostly not sourced to real people.

I just want to watch Michigan. Stressed out people make an easy target.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/obama-campaign.html

I know that Obama and Biden won't lay down like Kerry and Gore. Plus we have a slim majority in Congress.

16. No, Obama/Biden have Dean on their side
Kerry and Gore had people like McAuliffe and Carville and were stuck with lousy Dem infrastructure and lack of party support. Dean has been a huge plus for Obama/Biden with his 50 state strategy. I don't think they will let what happened in 2000 and 2004 happen again.

The signs couldn't be clearer that they need to give up the reins of power. They are literally killing this country that they claim to love so much.

25. Which is exactly why they won't "give up power" We have to take it from them.
I agree with you about the signs being there, but I think that just makes them dangerous.

They have so much to lose.

Think about it: all the crimes they committed while they were in power have to be covered up.

We have to take power from these criminals for the sake of our country and our kids.

26. Several reasons:
One - a Republican Secretary of State who has already faced some electronic voting questions here

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/Feb/22/key-voting-machine-hearing-today/

Two - the state is demonstrably divided politically, so it would be very difficult to prove tampering.

Three - most Dems are in the big cities - the ones with electronic voting - so you can concentrate your efforts with minimal effort/maximum results.

48. Colorado again - article in today's Post:
No Vote of Confidence in Coffman (SOS)

Nov. 4 is shaping up to be the biggest, and potentially most disastrous, day of Mike Coffman's career. That's the day the secretary of state is expected to win in Colorado's 6th Congressional District.

It's also the day he has a bigger job to do — ensuring the election runs smoothly for voters across the state. If things go wrong, as many watchdogs fear, the man derided as Colorado's AWOL election chief will be the first to blame.

"He has a repeated record of mismanagement. That should prompt concern from voters about how this election will be handled," says Chantell Taylor of Colorado Ethics Watch.
