Is SNL prophetic?
cross-posted from GD:P

Remember in the SNL Palin/Hillary skit when Amy (Hillary) said she was told she would be alone? It almost happened!

WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.
Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Clinton and Palin appear when informed by reporters.
"Her attendance was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event," said Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines. "Sen. Clinton will therefore not be attending."

1. SNAP!
It looks like the McCain campaign won't be getting their Hillary/Palin togetherness pics for their slime campaign. And has anyone else noticed the right wing's sick obsession with the Clintons? I don't think there's a cure.

3. Why is the GOP-controlled media trying to pass this off as though Palin has power?
Palin doesn't control Hillary.

Why is the GOP-controlled media saying this?

No where, in any of the statements quoted for these stories, does Senator Clinton (or her spokespeople) say why she cancelled her appearance.

There is one quote from Philippe Reines,
Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said Clinton was never told that the Alaska governor would be there.

And the GOP-controlled media use that non-quote as a pretext to continue their lie that Palin has Hillary frightened?

Amazing.

It's not a quote. No context is given, like for instance, the question that elicited that "comment".

It looks like more imaginary shit from the GOP-controlled media.

2. They nailed Bush pretty good in 2000
There was a skit with Will Ferrell playing Bush; he was cowering under his desk as Washington burned, crying into the phone that 'presidenting was hard'.
