1. maybe I'm talking out my other orifice but I don't think he would ever make it past Sen. Leahy
if he was to be nominated, which he won't, again maybe its the wrong end thinking here

5. Yeah. You are proably right, but I think that was the plan..
With Gonzales on the SCOTUS bench...nothing absolutely nothing would be in place to stop BushCo...hence my concern.

:hi:

12. true, it is a legit concern too
the way he works, to tell him otherwise to what he wants is only a challenge, a dare if you will.

6. I don't think Gonzo could be confirmed to the Supreme Court now
The man has shown time and again he has no respect for the truth, for the rule of law, for civil liberties, for human rights or constitutional checks and balances.

He's finished.

7. Uh no, that's why they want him confirmed overwhelmingly.

He's not finished until he has no visible use to the Bush clan. (Edit: Was gonna say 'like Miers' but she's still kicking, just not on the Supreme Court or anything.)

9. Confirmation still means getting passed the Senate
By "they", I assume you mean the junta. The junta had its rubber stamp taken away last November.

Gonzo is finished.

8. I hope you are right. Even if he resigns he must be called to account
for aiding and abetting the crimes of BushCo. I guess I am worried that he if he "atones" by resigning, he will be "pardoned" without a trial for his crimes.
