EDITED: The talking heads on Houston's Channel 11 have been saying for almost an hour that their helicopter was on the way to "get the first aerial images of Galveston". But now they say they can't get to Galveston because it's too cloudy and because the airspace is restricted. What a bunch of bullshit!

3. Sonofabitch! They've been saying for 45 minute that Air 11 was on

it's way to get the first aerial images of Galveston, even up to just a minute ago. But now all of a sudden it's too cloudy and the airspace is restricted.

command that nobody fly over Galveston, not even the press.. They are calling Washington to get permission... Good luck with that...

12. KHOU just flew over to the West End

Lots of home still standing, they are saying that they are the newer construction. Least they look intact from the outside, who knows what the inside looks like inside.
Mobile home park destroyed, they are intact but strewn around like toys.

The shoreline is seriously eroded, the first line of houses-on-stilts are all but in the water.
Anchor newspeople are saying that they are so close that they may have to be torn down, and the second row of houses will become the first row just so there can be some beachfront left bewteen the homes and the water.
