General Pace's "Fatwah on Fags" - If You'll Pardon the Expression - Pleases Radical Imams
Peter Pace can expect applause from at least one quarter for his homophobic remarks - radical imams: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality_and_Islam

Jailed, beaten, tortured, and killed for being who you are?

That strikes at something called one's "inalienable rights," and is surely un-American, right?

That only happens in inherently "immoral" cultures, right?

No, it happens with a nod and a wink from the top brass of this country.

2. Look at what Pace is NOT saying
It would seem that dropping bombs on villages in Afghanistan and Iraq is NOT immoral. And he had nothing bad to say about torture. Or maintaining prisoner of war camps without regards to the Geneva Conventions or any other form of law. I would guess that General Pace has no problem at all with these issues.

5. so, only support the heterosexual troops? screw that morality.
I guess good little straight soldiers who go on whorefucking sprees during shore leave in Thailand and the Phillipines are the only ones who really are "heroes" and "fighting for our freedom" and all the other bullshit these dickheads like to spout.

We really need to start kicking some of these people's asses. The only reason they say the shit they do is because they think we're weak and we'll run.

Okay, guess who hasn't had coffee yet.

8. On Shore Leave in Hong Kong, Ronald Reagan Sailors Were Good Christians
See the shore leave community hours press release: http://www.reagan.navy.mil/reagan_news/news_releases/07news_releases.htm

No activities akin to what you described took place, of course.

Gay advocates demand apology from Pace

WASHINGTON — A gay advocacy group Tuesday demanded an apology from the Pentagon's top general for calling homosexuality immoral.

---snip---

The group has represented some of the thousands dismissed from the military for their sexual orientation.

---snip---

Rep. Martin Meehan, D-Mass., has introduced legislation to change the ban. Meehan introduced a similar bill in 2005 that eventually attracted 122 co-sponsors, including Republican Chris Shays of Connecticut and Independent Bernard Sanders of Vermont.

John Shalikashvili, the retired Army general who was Joint Chiefs chairman when the policy was adopted, said in January that he has changed his mind on the issue since meeting with gay servicemen.

"These conversations showed me just how much the military has changed, and that gays and lesbians can be accepted by their peers," Shalikashvili wrote in a newspaper opinion piece.
