I'm willing to bet that USA-gate is really about the stealing of the 2004 election.

It's starting to crystallize, though I may not have all of the details as of yet.

Remember those caging lists? Yeah, those ones. That's what they're talking about when they say "voter fraud".

In reality, they were going to use the DOJ to prosecute people on those lists, but the prosecutors are good Republicans, not these fascist bastards. They didn't want to take part in it.

Remember last year when people got those threatening calls in Virginia and elsewhere, telling them not to vote because they were registered to vote in another precinct or city?

Or the robocalls?

This is all apart of a much larger campaign to ratfuck us like Segretti did, only this isn't just couple of activists, it would be a large number of people in our party. Imagine the chilling effect.

That's what we're dealing with. I think it's all probably related.

The 12/7 prosecutor firings were the break-in at the Watergate, the catching of them red-handed because of their own arrogance. Now it's all starting to unravel just like in did after the break-in.

I have a feeling we're teetering on the brink.

1. This brink is the biggest, broadest effing brink I've ever seen
we've been stranded on this brink for YEARS now, haven't we?

:;sigh:: the scandals are coming at a rate of several per day now, and yet here we stay, on the brink.

Hey, at some point the camel's back will have to break, but damn.

2. You're OVER the brink
You kinda tipped off about the same time that habeus corpus disappeared.

That said, you do still have a chance to pull yourselves back up. It's not going to be easy or quick but if Bush/Cheney are impeached and removed from office, the situation can still be salvaged.

3. Can we just plunge off the cliff already? I'm kinda tired of teetering on the brink!
We've been teetering for so effing long that I'm getting dizzy and nauseous.

That said - I think you might be on to something!

4. It was just the beginning.
Think about what Cheney said in the aftermath of the win. I wish I can remember his direct quote, but, to paraphrase, their win meant that the U.S. gave them the mandate to do whatever they wanted to do.

7. I think the exact words were "this is our due".

That was after the 2002 elections, though.

11. I think it was his plan all along.
He just put it into words in 2002.

5. I'm wondering if many of us are becoming jading into thinking that 24 is a "reality show"!
And that is describing "situation normal" in our government every day, and therefore not get worried about anything.

Of course, a nuke going off in Valencia which would effectively shut down north/soutbound overland traffic for probably at least a year if that were to really happen isn't something to be worried about while they deal with other stuff!

It's like us sweeping the scandal of the day under the rug.

Folks, call Waxman and Conyer's office to get them to have Sibel Edmonds and the NSWBC to testify!

6. My bet is on the '08 election as well
Since the GOP/RNC are only concerned about who votes for the Democratic Party, then this is part of the Master Plan for '08. They purged the players who might cause trouble for them in '08.

Just my hunch.

Be sure to check out my comic about this topic.

8. All scandals are interrelated as govt powers are used for political reasons....
I think you have it correctly here --but this has been going on for years. Go back and look at the 2000 Presidential election and you find the same practices used in each subsequent election.

10. You're forgetting some facts
One is the US Attorney fired in Guam in 2002 whose investigation into Abramoff was over along with him.

The Heather Wilson/Pete Dominici complaints about Iglesias.

Carole Lam was investigating Cunningham, et. al.

And so forth.

Your theory may have merit, but there other matters make it, IMO, not the whole story.
