Please rec if you think Tweety's not so bad after all.
I thought he did a great job with this "lipstick on a pig" thing this evening. What do you think?

2. You're so sweet - your PSA's informing those who don't know who we mean
by Tweety. I'm sure it's much appreciated. :hi:

Bush/Cheney dick sucking mode, he'd be right up there with Tucker and Joe - he just wants to hang on to his prime spot.

I'll never forgive him for the crap he used to spout about Bush being such a regular guy etc.. ad nauseum - NEVER!

34. Uneven
I don't like it when he just jumps in on every band wagon like a kid rushing for a popsicle. Tonight he was rational, real and had a conscience. Super job! It needs to get out to the "uninformed" though. Couric was pretty interesting and usually I don't like her. Bland. But tonight I think she did not like being in McCain's video AT ALL.

37. Remember his comments about Bush's "sunny nobility" and
his manly package? Or his comment that only whackos don't like Bush?

Maybe his Catholic training is starting to make him feel that he needs to do penance.

He could do a great job twenty nights running, and this wouldn't do much to alleviate the harm he's abetted over the years.

8. Thanks. I'll have to catch the repeat..
I'm wondering if his recent stay in the hospital might have caused him to reevaluate some things. (No snark intended, okay?)
I'm glad the guy is back on the air, even if he can be annoying and shout sometimes.
When he is good, he is very, very good.

career make. If he keeps up the good work, I'll sign on later. I suppose I should be thankful that maybe he has seen the light--or the ratings.

Although his style is obnoxious, I don't think he's a right wing tool. It's just that everyone on this site thinks everyone on TV is a handmaiden of the far right, except for Rachel.

28. I didn't realize he served in the Peace Corps
Speaking at the tenth anniversary party of his show, "Hardball", Matthews was critical of the Bush Administration, claiming that the Administration had been "caught in criminality." He did not specify what such "criminality" consisted of. During the same speech, he stated that the Administration had "pressured" his "bosses" in an attempt to silence him, that people were out to get him and strongly advised people not to drink the water.

36. He's an absolute scumbag who now ADMITS he lied for Bush & Co about WMDs
That's like Colin Powell admitting the Bush administration was evil and incompetent the week AFTER the 2004 election.

Where was their integrity when it might have made a difference? It's nice that they were loyal to their bosses - what about their loyalty to their constituents? To the country itself?

That, and Matthews is a sexist scum. His "Hillary's only qualification is a stain on a dress" should have gotten him fired months ago.

He gushes after practically every Republican pick-up, to the point I'm close to throwing items at my plasma.
