For the ones who think that a news item with "prescription drugs"
can break a campaign, let me remind you that Limpdick with his prescription drugs is now sitting on a $400 million contract

1. Spewing shit into a mic is a little different than being ELECTED President.

15. Watching all the people gushing over Palin - I am not sure
He does not fit to be president, not at his age and his health history, and she certainly does not, with her brain full of zingers and nothing else.

But both are now facing a real chance to occupy that office.

And, Limpdick knows a hell of a lot about many issues than Palin.

3. If he's on a Prozac or Alzheimers type drug I believe many of his supporters will rethink their vote

Whatever it may be - we the people have a right to know.

5. not that I'm defending Lonestarnot, I don't know her...
...though I'm curious as all hell. But she did say originally that it had to do with lawyers... doubt it has to do with an addiction by McCain, unless that info she received has changed. So I'm thinking it's not McCain and drugs as in he's taking them... but something else, something illegal with pharmaceutical companies.

6. Depends on the drug, IMO.
If he's addicted to pain killers or weenie stiffeners, like limpdick, I agree. It's another story, though, if he's taking Alzheimer's drugs or cancer drugs.

16. That's funny: weenie stiffeners
I would like to think that taking the other drugs should have alerted him and his advisers not to run in the first place, but, as we've seen with Edwards, for some reasons politicians think that they can hide things, even in these days of "peek and tell."

8. Does Limpballs have his hand close to the nuclear button?
I suggest you reread the 25th ammendment, just in case this guy gets elected... and assuming drugs to control alzheimers ok.

Can you say President Palin? Very legal by the way... and even scarier than President Chenney

9. Yeah, and Eagleton with his prescription drugs was dropped by the Dems like a hot potato
It depends on what the drugs are. If they're for a condition like Alzheimers McCain will be forced to bow out. Sadly, what will happen in that case is they'll simply bump Palin to the top of the ticket and put in a more experienced "handler" in as VP, much like they did with Bush.

11. For one thing, we are more open about our personal lives since 1972
and being treated for anything, including depression, is no longer a stigma.

Heck, in those days you would not elect a divorced man (or woman) and certainly not one who has been treated for cancer.

14. Eagleton wasn't dropped for taking prescription drugs. Not at all.
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 01:00 PM by TahitiNut
He was dropped because his history of depression, treated with shock therapy (ECT), was made public.

It was a shameful public reaction to a non-issue.

12. Agreed. This story will be nothing.
Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Nil.

Get these dumbfucks on the economy and the war, because nothing else ever sticks to them. The "liberal" media gives them a pass every time, and they will on this (probably imaginary) story as well.

13. I'm pretty sure nobody voted Limbaugh into his position.
Though I remain skeptical as to the future news story rumor.
