How many of you are obsessed with this race?
I am finding myself with what is bordering on an unhealthy (at least mentally) obsessive focus on the presidential contest. I am too emotionally involved. I spend way too much time on DU , Huffington, etc. reading the up-to-the-moment latest.

Not good. Basically what will be, will be, no matter what I want or wish. I think I need to get myself under control and find something less stressful to focus upon. It is difficult when, in your heart, you feel like the future of the world is based upon what happens over the next two months but making yourself sick over it isn't going to help.

Hope for the best, expect the worst.

1. Me
I'm about to the point where I'm going to say screw it, we get the government we deserve.

Ok, not really, but it makes me feel better to say it.

3. Great! Are you volunteering for the campaign?
I hope that everyone can turn that passion and obsession into something positive in increasing our numbers and turning out the vote.

4. The future of our world and our country are largely going to be determined
by the results of this election. It is the defining moment of our time of our lifetimes
and the lifetimes of all who will follow us.

As my daughter said recently this is our final exam. Our very lives, the lives of our
children, our financial security, our democracy, and the earth are on the line.

Of course we are focused on this race as none before. Work, volunteer, donate even
what you cannot afford. We must make this happen.

5. I am, more so because hub won't vote for Obama.
Why, you ask??? Because he's black!!!

I retorted with, "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?! So, you're not going to vote for McSame, but you're still going to take a vote away for Obama by writing in a name!!!!"

I myself, happen to think Obama's the best thing that will happen to this country.

11. Yikes. Have you known he's a racist all along, or is this new information for you?
In either case, you have my sympathies.

7. It's just politics. If you really want to change the world..try this.
http://www.kiva.org/

It actually accomplishes something. Doesn't involve politics. And, really does change the world.

8. What will be will be?
This is the last chance to get our country back as far as I am concerned. Although I am doing and spending as much as I can to make Obama happen I still am worried that the election will be stolen once again. What will I do if that happens, I don't know.
