Will the October 2nd Vice Presidential Debate Happen?

Unless something really weird happens I just can't see screechy voiced nut case debating Biden on real issues. Since they are calling the shots with the media, I think they may say that she isn't going to debate because the format isn't as they would like it. She doesn't stand a chance in a real debate and I think they know that. Am I totally off base here?

9. Yes, but it will be scripted to fit the GOP's myth-making.

For instance:

* the background will look like a hunter's cabin, complete with animal heads on the walls and a bearskin on the floor
* beef jerky will be handed out to the audience
* questions will be provided by the GOP
* both candidates will be required to wear fur
* Palin will charge the state of Alaska to attend (just like she charges them to stay in her own house)
* they will be standing at clear podiums so Palin can "show off" her legs
* tissues will be waiting at Palin's podium "in case" she cries
