Is the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae Federal Government blank-check bailout
...going to turn on the Big Money bank spigots for the McCain campaign and take out and neutralize any effort the Obama/Biden campaign tries to put forth in the next 60 days and literally buy this election at taxpayer expense?

Think about the timing of all this by the Bush/Cheney people and just how Draconian all this is, no accountability, no checks and balances, total panic, no answers, finger pointing....IT'S THE MONEY STUPID!

2. And
The McCain style of government has now placed the US holding mortgages for most of America. Now that's a real change.

6. Which is only going to make the mortgage crisis even worse.
When has turning anything over to the government ever been anything but a cluster fuck?

4. 5 Trillion dollars
is a thinking man's motive for larceny.

The guys who put George W Bush in the White House want to be compensated for their losses.

This is just the biggest bank heist in history slowly unfolding.

5. Fannie and Freddie are vital to save, but there needs to be
some very basic overhaul of the systemic problems that allowed them to take on risky paper and pay huge bonuses to clearly incompetent executives.

Fannie and Freddie are why you and I can get mortgages. If they were not in existence, banks wouldn't write 30 year mortgages, it's as simple as that.

They should never have been privatized. It's one of the top two financial blunders Lyndon Johnson made, the other putting social security into the general fund.

However, they should not get a blank check with no strings. The strings should be numerous and strong.

7. If the dems in congress would grow a spine...
...maybe the strings would be, but since they don't, Bush will probably dictate the terms and they will be weak.
