CNNs Arwa Damon just reported that the Iraqis are afraid to leave their homes due to death squads
How do death squads still have the run of the place if the surge got the violence under control?

She also said their were no discussions about next months elections which are not going to happen because the Iraqi government couldn't gather a quorum to work on it yesterday.

1. The level of violence in Iraq is down
. . . because the terrorists have won.

What a successful occupation of Iraq this has been. Another hundred years of it and Iraq will be a wasteland.

2. Once neighborhoods were cleared there was no need of the
death squads. After all, how many people can you kill if they have left the neighborhood.
