The words we need to hear most...
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 10:00 PM by misanthrope
...from the Obama/Biden campaign right now are:

"They're lying." -This short and sweet phrase hits the nail on the head. Explanations of your stances and the particulars therein are nice, but they don't stick in the head like the aforementioned declaration. Nuance only works when you can make it stick with something else.

"Why is she so afraid? What is she hiding?" -This needs to be uttered every time the campaign mentions Sarah Pallin and her reluctance to answer questions. Bring up the other candidates appearances before the press, including McCain's. It will only contrast worse on the new darling if even her running mate is not scared to face the fire.

All of these need to come from those who get the soundbites aired, which means the candidates themselves. They need to become mantras. The Democratic Senators should start working these into their speeches ASAP, to beat the GOP to the punch. I don't think either tack is too outlandish for Obama to employ either; pretty standard stuff.

I've had to fend off many emails this week (love that Reply to All button--whatever the consequenses) with a link to snopes.

War against falsehoods. I'm there.
