What would happen with a Palin Supreme Court....
Ok, I know roe v wade would go back to the states, but what else would happen? I am not educated enough about the Supreme Court to even guess, although I would say that it would be hard times for any labor issues.

I am looking for ammunition for talking to my friends and neighbors....

1. The Bill of Rights will be declared unconstitutional
And a public monument will be erected to Cotton Mather in Washington, DC.

4. GLBT equality would be set back 30 years. The return of sodomy laws.
Lawrence vs Texas would be overturned.

I can't stress enough how evil the people supporting Palin (the ultra right wing fundies) are.

5. Blacks, Asians, Gays, Muslims, Jews, Gypsies, Athiests, Unitarians shot
And when they come after the fundies, there will be nobody there to speak up for them.

6. Seriously? 1st amendment seriously gutted
oh, they'll use some weasel words and claim that by funding religion in schools they're not establishing a religion, because every local community can choose which one they want to support.

The 2nd will, of course, be strengthened. Terrorism will be used to justify "probable cause" for search and siezures, so the 4th is weakened. We're fighting a war against terror so there goes the 5th. I don't know what they'll do about the 6th, but the Supreme Court will say that $20 in 1780 is <fill in some large number> today and interpret the 7th to mean civil suits against corporations are banned. The 8th? What's so unusual about capital punishment, torture and million-dollar bail - we do it all the time! The 9th and 10th deal with States' Rights, so they'll be used to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I fear even my beloved 3rd Amendment is doomed.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer.
