As we saw with Edwards, this story is going to take care of itself. If the Enquirer has the goods, it's going to come out and there's nothing McCain can do about it and it's going to end this ticket's chances, so they are dumber than I think they are if they continue to act defiantly if this is true.

I got this from a link at the OP's link. So at this point, the papers should be available to the public. However, if the GOP atty. is halfway competent, he/she will file an appeal of that decision along with a motion to seal the record pending the outcome of the appeal. So I hope some enterprising investigators are at the courthouse bright and early Monday morning to get copies of the file immediately. The divorce didn't take place until years after the "affair" should have ended. But unless Alaska is a no-fault divorce state, the wife could have charged his involvement with the Barracuda as part of an ongoing pattern throughout the marriage.

I don't like this kinda trash. It's tabloid news and the Clenis hunts of the late 1990s infuriated me to tears (and I WAS A Republican at the time). At the time I wanted to "beat Clinton" with "Superior Ideas".

I have no doubt should her insidious viewpoints on abortion, sex ed, environment, and religion come to light she'll be toast. Trouble is, those are tough battles, it takes too much thinking for too many people, the facts can be distorted and the media panders to us like we have ADHD.
