No wonder Sarah Palin is so popular in Alaska. Last year, rich petroleum reserves paid EACH CITIZEN over $1,600 in dividends in 2007. Isn't that similar to what Hugo Chavez promised his people in oil-rich Venezuela?

Instead she could have re-investing Alaska's budget surplus from oil revenues into technologies that will cut consumption and help the environment.
