6.1% unemployment.. If the govt says 6.1, it's probably higher
and I wonder how many of the jobs that remain, are part-time no benefits jobs..

1. Real economists use the # of employed now, since the unemployment rate excludes so many. nt

3. and it cannot take into account how much lower it appears
because some people have THREE jobs, when a generation ago they would have only needed one..

A mom, dad & 2 teens could have 6 or 7 jobs in one household:(

2. My husband just had to leave his job. They won't be counting him. He hasn't
started looking yet.
We had to move due to family illness. I'm sure we don't qualify as part of the numbers because he wasn't laid off or fired and
won't be drawing unemployment.

I bet he'll end up working part time as a free lancer. I got a job quickly because of the nursing shortage. So now I get to be a nurse 24/7.
Yippee.
