How to shut up right-wing fundie types
I must say, I'm rather stunned, as the local news messageboard here is crawling with them (Free Republic lite). The following three posts had ZERO response -- they have completely ignored me and changed the subject, which I think is hilarious!! :)

Oh, this site doesn't allow profanity -- I think "crap" was even censored, so this is a real test of patience for me to express myself as I desperately want to throw in some F-bombs.

In response to the expected posts about Katrina and how lazy and shiftless all those people are, Democrats wanting to give hand-outs, and the myriad other filth they spew, this shut them up:

"I think Jesus would be very disappointed in his "followers" who spout judgmental, racist (guised in sooooo many other words), hypocritical, willfully ignorant nonsense, even when wrapped in "nice" words.

"To you "followers," if you can clear your head of the right-wing talking points and corrupted Bible rhetoric you absorb like sponges so you don't have to think for yourselves, please do so and then look in the mirror and ask yourselves:

Where is your humanity?

Why do you hate America so much?"

To their lame "zero executive experience" on the Dem ticket claim, with them specifically asking, "What do you say to that?":

Easy, George Bush had the same type of executive experience. He therefore had, upon becoming president, more executive experience than Obama, McCain and Biden.

Look where that got us. Did anyone even mention Bush's name this week?

'nuf said.

To their glowing reviews of Palin's family values:

McCain has thrown his beautiful daughter, Bridget, under the Straight Talk Express, just as Palin threw Bristol under the bus.

The Palin children knew nothing of the announcement last Friday ahead of time; they were told they were attending an anniversary party for their parents. Bristol was then shoved into the national spotlight while going through a personal crisis, with no consideration given to her whatsoever.

As for the McCains, for any father or mother to "make nice" with people who not only destroyed him in 2000 but did so by ATTACKING HIS DAUGHTER, that's unforgivable. Bush-Cheney-Rove used his adopted daughter to pander to racists in South Carolina, making them afraid of his "black child," and it worked.

And he's pandering to the same racist crowd now, many of whom are right here on this board. If you haven't followed politics since 2000, you probably didn't even know he had an adopted daughter...she's been hidden well for your benefit, though also for her sanity, no doubt. Either way, as a parent, it's completely unforgivable to allow such treatment of one's child, let alone suck up to the very people who dished out that treatment.

SO MUCH FOR FAMILY VALUES."

2. another good reply
To ultra-conservatives. Of course, they will never switch to our side, but this will cause them to actually stop and think.

"I think the republican party does a terrible job of representing conservative values."

Works every time!

5. They don't "conserve"
They didn't "conserve" American jobs. They were all for letting them get shipped overseas so the bottom line would look better with some cheap foreign labor.

They didn't "conserve" American oil. They were against fuel mileage standards and mass transit so Americans could get more trips out of a barrel of oil.

They don't "conserve" American military resources, wasting lives and equipment in an occupation that they are in no hurry to end.

A wasteful bunch, they are.

4. that's what i always think... how will mccain explain his behavior to Jesus?
that is what keeps me wondering about the fundies. they WILL be ashamed of themselves when Jesus does come back whenever that is. as a christian i do believe He will be back to save us from the insanity of man. if they believe this also as they say, how can they lie, slander & deceive people the way they do.a erson can rationalize most behaviors but in the end it is Jesus' view that is the truth.... i pray i don't have to be ashamed of myself when HE comes back. i'm sorry to offend any of you all that don't like my views. GOD sees through all the crap to the dividing of spirit & flesh. we as humans cannot deceive truth. :):) i do believe GOD has put HIS hand on Barack Obama. i get goosebumps any time i speak of him to someone :):):) :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

6. Everyone of these Faux Christians should be
provided a copy of the 'Red Letter' version of the New Testament, so that they might see just exactly what was said by Christ.
So many of them now refuse to acknowledge what Christianity is supposed to be about.
If they Really took the time to read and Understand the Sermon on the Mount, their pointy little heads would explode
